Certificate of Completion Issued: Yes Course Description: This course is designed to prepare and teach the students about the revenue cycle process in the healthcare industry. This course is designed to provide instruction with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver a high-quality online course. Students will learn the principles of the revenue cycle billing operations process related to basic law’s, registration proper claim preparation and submitting of claims and the accounts receivable process. Successful participants will also be able to effectively engage techniques and technologies. LEARNING OUTCOMES By the end of this course, you should be able to: • Articulate the basic laws of the revenue cycle. • Understand the components of registration. • Understand the revenue cycle process. • Present, discuss, and post your understanding of revenue cycle operations Course Content: • Introduction to Revenue Cycle Billing Operations • Articulate HIPPA and Basic Laws • Healthcare Insurance Model • Revenue Cycle Patient Registration • Revenue Cycle Charges Entry • Introduction to Coding, evaluation and management • Revenue Cycle Billing Claims Process • Revenue Cycle A/R Follow-up Process • Principles of provider processing Methods of Evaluation: This course will use instructional methods that will include reading assignments, practice questions, interactive video lectures, chapter review tests, and final exam. To receive a certificate of completion, students must successfully complete the course within the allotted time frame of 8 weeks. Successful course completion includes: • An attempt of all required assignments and practice questions • A passing score of 70% or higher on all chapter review tests • A passing score of 70% or higher on final exam • An overall final course score of 70% or higher No reduced course or tuition discount for previous education or training will be granted.
